Company DescriptionOur Client : The Company produces and sells fine chemicals for the pharma industry and pharmaceutical finishing products. It is specialized in the development and commercialization of generic drugs for the Polish market and other markets in the Central and Eastern Europe. The industrial site produces approx. 190m sales' units and approx. 1,000tns of active drug substances and intermediates for internal use and also for export. The company's annual turnover is approx. to $300M and it is the number one in the polish market in terms of sales' units with 10.6% share of the market (Poland counts almost 40M population). 10% of the sales are exports of finished products and APIs to Central and Eastern Europe. Fine Chemicals external sales reached $16m.
Job Description
  • Primary responsibility for executing of corporate intellectual property strategy, iIncluding domestic and foreign patent preparation and prosecution in the areas of generic pharmaceuticals
  • Take part in Patent Committee meetings, publication review, monitoring competitors, client counseling and education.
  • Transactional matters including drafting, negotiating, reviewing, and processing agreements including confidentiality, consulting, clinical trial, master services, manufacturing, technical, quality, material transfer, research, purchase, and service agreements; and assisting in licensing activities, regulatory affairs and security filings.
  • Skill Required
  • Advanced or multiple degrees in chemistry, biology or medical sciences and law.
  • English as a second language is a must.
  • International experience in generic pharmaceutical intellectual property particularly
  • Recent experience working successfully in an entrepreneurial environment is preferred.
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, pro-active approach to taking on challenging assignments.
  • Creativity and judgment and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to work with critical timelines.
  • Setting up stretch goals, but is mature enough to develop acceptable back-up plans, and to move quickly beyond unsuccessful events.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, and the self-confidence to use these skills to convince others to buy-into proposals and plans.
