| Skill Required | The ideal candidate for this position will have an E&P background and should be very familiar with a number of industry standard applications, have a Geologist / Geophysicist degree and a minimum of 5 - 7 years industry experience, in a customer support/mentoring role, with an excellent track record.
The skills required are:
1. Geoscience / Data Management background
2. Five years in industry and three years experience with Landmark apps, preferably OpenWorks, SeisWorks and related utilities
3. Good understanding of oracle and sqlplus
4. Self motivated
5. Excellent communication skills (English as primary language)
6. Excellent time management
7. Easy to merge in a Multicultural environment
8. Incident mgt, Problem mgt: Resolve OpenWorks R5000 issues. Publish status on incident/change/request/on sharepoint site.
Receive escalated call from first-line regional assist desk
Work issue, managed escalation to LMK support/R&D
Communicate status to user
Monitor contact routes (verbal, direct email, etc)
Coordinate resolution with other 2nd-line and with Landmark R&D
Manage the process for technical issue escalation with Landmark which require patch for resolution.
9. Request mgt: Perform ad-hoc OpenWorks R5000 requests for users.
10. Change mgt: Manage user requirements (enhancements) for OpenWorks and other LMK G&G apps
11. Release mgt: Manage the successful deployment of new Landmark releases and patches at Shell, primarily OpenWorks and G&G
12. Configuration mgt: Work with Client IT to maintain the “R5000 standard” for all layers of Landmark technology: Hardware, Operating System, Oracle and Landmark software versions. Manage the CoE R5000 acceptance and development lab/environments to maintain the “R5000 standard”.
13. Knowledge mgt: Deliver best practices, demos, show & tell to global user community
